It picks up swell from SSW to SW and WNW and NW to NE, and land, islands, reefs or shallow banks block about 46% of the directions it faces. Offshore wind here blows from the ESE: light winds or ESE breezes usually mean the cleanest surf, while WNW onshores chop it up.
