Lanzarote
Lanzarote is an NW-facing reef break in Isla de la Graciosa, Canary Islands, Spain. It picks up swell from W to WNW and WNW to NW and NNW to NE, and land, islands, reefs or shallow banks block about 38% of the directions it faces. Offshore wind here blows from the SE: light winds or SE breezes usually mean the cleanest surf, while NW onshores chop it up.
Rare slot: a gap between Lanzarote and Gran Canaria lets in swell from 228.8° (SW) and nothing either side. It only lines up when a storm sits in that exact direction, more than 236 km out. How slot swells work
